The Uganda Community Libraries Association (UgCLA) Annual Conference is an event which aims to bring together various community libraries in Uganda so that they can share their experiences and learn from one another. This year, the conference was held at the Uganda Development Services Community Library in Kamuli over a period of three days. The theme was "Projects for Sustainability". Our Program Manager, Catherine Bukosela, attended the conference. She enjoyed the conference and left with a number of ideas for improving the sustainability of our library, both from a financial perspective and with regard to maintaining our book collection and user capacity. We renewed our membership with UgCLA and look forward to partnering with them again this year. To learn more about UgCLA, you can check out their website at www.ugcla.org.
